Hi. I am moving to Argentina in October and basically want to know the answer to those two questions.
1) Is it hard to obtain the D.N.I.? You need this document to legally work, which I plan to do
2) How long does it take the government to issue the D.N.I. once I request it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I am also very interested in this point. May I also ask if owning property in Buenos Aires is a sure way to support an application for residency, and, do you have to be resident to obtain a DNI and find gainful employment.
Many thanks in advance.

Off my head, I do not think owning property can help with the DNI process but viceversa... having the DNI may actually facilitate real estate purchases. I searched the forum and found some threads where this has been discussed in length. You may want to go through all posts as the critical information may be a 1 liner.
