We are planning on going to Argentina on October 19 (arriving on the morning of the 20th) and we will leave Argentina on October 30 at night. We want to go to Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes, and Punta Tombo and the Glacier Natl Park and any other parks near there. We do not want to hike for days in any of the parks. Can anyone suggest how we can get to all these places (internal flights) within the short time frame that we are there? Thanks | ||

Hi frances, this should be simple. Check with Aerolineas Argentinas for a route /Buenos Aires-Trelew-Calafate-Buenos Aires/ and you could get to all places easily. From Trelew, you have tours to Puerto Madryn, Peninsula Valdes and Punta Tombo and you can stay in Trelew or in Puerto Madryn (recommended). Then you can continue your trip by flying to Calafate to spend time at the Glaciers. (Message edited by admin on July 21, 2006) | ||

We came up with this itinerary October 20 BA October 21 Fly to Trelew, rent a car and go to Punta Tombo, overnight Puerto Madryn (Can anyone suggest a nice hotel?) October 22 Drive myself to Peninsula Valdez and go on a whale watching tour in Puerto Piramides, overnight in Puerto Madryn October 23 Fly to El Calafate in the morning - See the glacier or surrounding areas, overnight in El Calafate (Can anyone suggest a nice hotel?) October 24 Upsala Glacier October 25 Glacier October 26 Fly to Bariloche or Tierra del Fuego (which is better considering the short time we have?) Can anyone suggest hotels? October 27 Bariloche or Tierra del Fuego October 28 Bariloche or Tierra del Fuego October 29 Fly to BA October 30 Leave Can anyone tell me if this itinerary is feasible or would they do something different?
