We are living in the Dominican Republic and want to travel to BA around September... which is the best way to do this... can we get a one way ticket to BA as we are looking to stay for at least 6 months or more. I have done some searching from POP, Dominican Republic to BA but cannot find any info. Maybe we have to fly to the States first. Thanks |

Hi Sylvia!! I am new to this group having just joined several days ago. Also, I just returned from Mendoza on Sunday after a wonderful 10 days of visiting my fiancée and will be returning in October to look for houses. I used the Orbitz online service for flights, but when I just did a search I was told that they do not serve POP. I then tried Travelocity.com and was able to find one-way flights in September to EZE. I hope that this helps. Tom |

Yes, you can enter Argentina with a 1 way ticket and you don´t need a visa, just your passport. You can also fly with COPA which makes a stop in Panama for about usd $1068 plus taxes. |

Hello. I have a question regarding a rumor concerning airline ticket prices. The rumor is that Argentine citizens can buy plane tickets at a cheaper rate than foreign citizens. Is this true? Thanks for your help. Josh |

Hi Joshua, To help quash the rumor, here is the deal: Argentine residents and citizens pay a regular fare while non residents pay a higgher fare. This is the basis, but don't forget that many times, anmy givn week, or month, there are promotions, etc..run by the two airlines here (LAN and Aerolineas Argentinas) that are even better deals than the basis, and no residency is needed. So this creates more confusion sometimes. You just have to check the market the dates you want to travel. |
