yes - the official stance is that you acquire a CDI (Clave de Identificacion), the most basic of Argentine tax id#, which allows you to buy a vehicles and real estate. I often have found that people and dealers will urge and arrange for you to buy a car without even the CDI, but that is asking for trouble. | ||
