Hi - I'm from the U.K. My 180 days are almost up on my tourist Visa (and have now been in Argentina for over 6 months). Can anyone advise what I am likely to face in terms of a penalty / fine / punishment, if I overstay? I have trawled the internet and found nothing of value. Many thanks

Dave, Call the British embassy in Buenos Aries.

You may be able to take a day trip to Uruguay, Chile or other neighboring country. If you choose Brazil you may need a visa. US citizens are required to get a visa to enter Brazil.
