We are a travel agency based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We could certainly issue you air ticket from here. It will involve printing what is called a PTA, a paper or electronic ticket that you could picked up at your local airport. We have found that when foreign clients try to purchase their international leg with us there are no real savings. Actually, it becomes somewhat of an inconvenience for the client to have to check with the airport about this. Supposedly, local airline offices would call customers informing they have a ticket at their disposal but this doesn't happen often, so it is up to us and the customer abroad to follow through. Yes, you should be able to find an american-based internet company that can sell you this ticket, in which case I would recommend that you try our own booking engine. This is different than us issuing a ticket here in Buenos Aires. We have associated with Travelnow.com (US based) and can also offer clients like you a booking engine based solely over the internet -like Orbitz or Expedia-. You can start your search here: http://www.travelnow.com/airlines/search.jsp?cid=3 9315 Prices on our monitors are the ones I have mentioned before but may be different than the one shown in the booking engine. This software scans the US inventory for tickets and prices and results might differ for the inventory offered to retail might be slightly different than the one handle by agents like us. Hope this clarifies a bit. |
