The ledgend goes that, that it will be sunny.
Night time temps could go below freezing, and daytime temps could get as high as 70+ degrees F but will average more like 50's and 60'a

San Rafael a bit cooler than upper Mendoza.

For sure sweater weather and bring a coat, sunscreen, and lip balm for the dry air.

For sure get into the Andes if you can - do you ski?
Las Lenas is closer to San Rafael, and if you go into the Andes from the upper Mendoza area aound the city and suburbs, there are several cools spots to visit like the Potrerillos area, Uspallata, and then the rest of the way to to the border you will find places like Punte de Inca, etc. The just over the border in Chile, in Portillo, there is a great ski resort.

We were just in Mendoza and San Rafael. We hit Mendoza just as a cold front moved across the country. Even though we're from Alaska, we were cold. It was in the 40's but windy and we didn't bring warm enough jackets. So I would imagine by June you could have some very chilly weather. I'd bring a light down jacket and some fleece layering. Maybe you'll get lucky and get some warm weather, but it's better to be ready for a chill. San Rafael was great - lots of bicyclists. The town isn't as pretty as Mendoza - no central square, but the countryside is gorgeous. We took a taxi out to ? Grande - a rafting and climbing area. Beautiful river ran through some interesting geological formations. We stayed at the Tower Hotel in SR - very well kept, incredibly nice people. The only drawback is the casino next door - the smoking drifting over to the hotel. Make sure you request a nonsmoking room.

Hi Anna,

Glad you enjoy some of the province! It's killer isn't it? I suggest anyone check weather service averages, some times cold and warn fronts leave lasting impressions for visitors when en realidad a nice avergae pans out - cheers

Hi Pam... coming to Sean's rescue. The average for August in Mendoza is 52F, highs 64 and lows 40. Some historical patterns can be found here and here you can check Mendoza current weather
