It's Saturday and I'm leaving Santiago tomorrow to return back to Argentina for my flight home on May 10 from BA. I need some suggestions. As I will taking the bus from here, I hope to see Mendoza, Salta/Jujuy/Tucuman, and Iguazu Falls before I leave. I have already spent a considerable amount of time in BA, so do not need to allocate any time to spend there, but would like to spend a day or two visiting friends before before I go. I am not a hiker, camper, outdoorsy or partier type. I prefer looking at scenery, museums, culture, history, etc. I know I could take night buses, but how much scenery would I miss doing it this way? Should I skip Mendoza and head straight to Salta? Any suggestions about my intinerary and time would be much appreciated!! |

I think Mendoza has a lot to offer in regards to museums and culture in general. I would not skip it. As for the northwest, you might miss a bit by traveling overnight. Yours is a dilemma. In fact, what is pretty about Salta and Jujuy are their surroundings... I am not sure what to suggest. |
