Patagonia has become the other name for adventure but this region of South America has that- and a lot more. For one thing it pays the bill for the good times in Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Mendoza. http://www.ieco.clarin.com/economia/provincias-rec ursos-dependencia_0_200400009.html This region produces about 80% of the energy used by the entire country though their total population is less than 2 million. On a per capita basis they are more productive than any other area in fish and agricultural products. In a region about twice the size of Spain they offer some of the most beautiful views of nature anywhere. All this with the acclaimed best fly fishing in the world. The only danger that in the rush to draw the wealth of this area-which has been hardly tapped- it will be spoiled. |
