We have about 3 weeks to travel from Buenos Aires to Santiago. Any advice on how to get there and what to stop for along the way? I am thinking Iguazu Falls, Cordoba, and Mendoza. Is there anything else we should do/see? How are the buses across to get from/to each of these places? We plan to go to Patagonia another time, so the Northern part of Argentina is what we want to see this time. Thanks. |

3 weeks is a good amount of time for this. My itinerary would be BA 5 days Iguassu 3 days Cordoba 3 days Salta 4 days Mendoza 4 days Santiago 2 days Bus all the way, no problems, it's comfortable and safe enough to do overnight trips, saving on accomo as well. Hire a car in Salta and explore, it's spectacular. Have fun! |

I agree with Richard, although with his itinerary you will have two long and exhausting bustrips to make (BA - Iguazu and Iguazu - Córdoba). But you will see a beautiful part of Argentina, that is for sure! If you need any more advice on traveling in the Buenos Aires - Córdoba - Mendoza belt please feel free to contact us, we are specialized in the heartland of Argentina. Have a great trip, Jan |
