Dear travellers, I need your suggestions for my once-a-year vacation I will arrive BA from Washington DC and will have 11 days to travel in Argentina. My current plan is BA-Iguazu-Mendoza-El Calafate-Valdes Peninsular-BA. I know July is not a good month to travel but I am willing to combat the cold weather! I am every interested in national parks, watching whales and pengiuns but I know I will be running short of time. I am planning to take lots of sleeper buses but I think I have fly from Mendoza to El Calafate.... Do you think my iteneary is possible ? thank you for your help! |

Hi Paddy, and welcome! I am afraid you will not be able to see any whales during July. Penguins first arrive to the peninsula around August... so you will be missing a lot of the action. As for the rest of the trip it looks fine. Just make sure about the tours in Calafate as a few things will not be available (night stays at ranches, for example). |

Thanks Roberto, may be I should just skip Peninsula and visit Bariloche then El Calafate. If so, flying is the only option right? Have you heard of the military plane LEDA? i heard its cheaper to fly. |

I haven't heard about the military plane but if there is one it will def. be cheaper. Probably a much more restricted schedule though. Flying is not the only option, but the best. You might be able to do Bariloche by bus and then fly to Calafate non-stop and save some money. If you arrive in Argentina flying with Aerolineas Argentina you get a big discount for the domestic leg. Do not have the prices at hand. |

Buenos Aires Stay , you are just SPAMMERS!... Why do you continue to write all this RABBISH in the forum? Anyway if you need that to advertise yourself I think you are really in trouble! |
