My husband and I want to travel by sleeper bus from Buenos Aires to Puerto Iguazu and then go on to Mendoza from Iguazu also by sleeper bus. We want to do this Nov. 2-5. Will we have any trouble buying these tickets in Buenos Aires when we arrive there on Oct. 30? Do the sleeper buses sell out this time of year? We have been told to not buy tickets early as schedules change so often. We realize these are long bus rides, but the flights are too expensive for us. Any advice for traveling by bus in Argentina will be helpful as renting cars is also very expensive. |

I don't see you having any problem with the availability buses during November. Have a look at http://www.plataforma10.com to check who runs the services. Finding a direct bus from BA to puerto iguazu will be quite simple and comfortable enough even though it's 20 hours or so! Personally I can't resist going for the top class option because they are fantastic!! Onwards to Mendoza is more difficult. Maybe stopping off in Cordoba is your best bet? At least you can give yourself a day to see the city, here's a possible choice from plataforma10.com: EXPRESO SINGER Puerto Iguazu 13:15 hs. Cordoba 09:30 hs. CAMA TOTAL $ 185.00 SAN JUAN MAR DEL PLATA Cordoba 22:30 hs. Mendoza 06:55 hs. CAMA SUITE $ 120.00 Have a great time |
