We are going to be in either Mendoza or Valparasio Chili for christmas this year. Anyone know much about either of those locations over the holiday? What are the local traditions/events? | ||

Hi Judy, This will be my third Christmas here in Mendoza and it's pretty apparant that people try to clear out of Mendoza for the holiday if they can - usually to the mountains or to Uco Valley, San Rafael, Marlargue, and many go to the coast of Chile - it could be quite hot during that time frame although the worst seems to be sometim in January - like a 10 or 20 day period of upper 90's low 100's (upper 30's low 40's C) - at least historically I'll keep an eye out for events- they do exist. one thing for sure, the wineries are in a pretty good mood around this time frame so let the bottles flow!  |
