Hi there, I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find a measured (400metre) running track in Buenos Aires? I know of one in Saavedra - which is a little far for me to travel easily - although I am interested to hear of ANY that people know of. :o) Or of a resource/link that might be able to give me a rundown of tracks? Kylie, your best bet is UBA. Most likely they have a marked 1000 meter track and possibly a 100 meter track. A dedicated 400 meter track might be hard to find. Nevertheless, if there is one the sports department at UBA would know of it. http://www.uba.ar/mapa/mapa.php It's best to go there. If your Spanish is very good you can call or have a local call for you. | ||

I have yet to check out your info robert (though will be at some point), but I did manage to find a 400m track in Parque Chacabuco (sp?). It is open long hours (7am-10pm October to March, apparently) and was also free (at least, it was when I went!). It was very popular too. :o) | ||

That's great. After March you might check out UBA for indoor facilities. Also, UBA has shower and locker facilities but there would likely be a charge for these. |
