Hi there,

I am wondering if anyone knows where I can find a measured (400metre) running track in Buenos Aires? I know of one in Saavedra - which is a little far for me to travel easily - although I am interested to hear of ANY that people know of. :o) Or of a resource/link that might be able to give me a rundown of tracks? Many thanks to all.

Kylie, your best bet is UBA. Most likely they have a marked 1000 meter track and possibly a 100 meter track. A dedicated 400 meter track might be hard to find. Nevertheless, if there is one the sports department at UBA would know of it.

It's best to go there. If your Spanish is very good you can call or have a local call for you.

I have yet to check out your info robert (though will be at some point), but I did manage to find a 400m track in Parque Chacabuco (sp?). It is open long hours (7am-10pm October to March, apparently) and was also free (at least, it was when I went!). It was very popular too. :o)

That's great. After March you might check out UBA for indoor facilities.
Also, UBA has shower and locker facilities but there would likely be a charge for these.
