Hi all, I'm looking to buy hiking boots here in Buenos Aires, but I'm having a tough time. I've found the obvious places I would know from the U.S. (Patagonia, Timberland), but the prices are very high (around 500 pesos). When I went to some "outdoor" stores (Montagne, Arvillas) they didn't sell hiking boots. I've also visited Deportcamping, but they only had a Coleman (as in the gas stove) brand in my size. I tried to research the boot on the internet - but came up with nothing. Does anyone have any recommendations for good places to buy hiking boots here in Capital? Or any recommendations about local brands they've had good experience with? Thank you! Emily |

Emily, I am a new poster (just joined). From what I can remember, hiking boots have always been expensive in Argentina. The best local ones are from Marasco y Speziale: http://www.marascoyspeziale.com.ar/outdoor.htm Good luck. (Message edited by admin on March 28, 2008) |
