So, my apartment over look 9 Julio and Independencia, I have been there just a few weeks... once New Years was over (which was pretty crazy - fire works everywhere) I have noticed how quiet the city is! 9 de Julio has very little traffic, and even Florida Street was dead yesterday!! Now my girlfriend says its because EVERYONE heads to the beach in Jan and Feb... is this true? Is it normally like this?! Also, do people think it will get hotter here? Cheers guys! |

Adam, it is like that every January. Isn't it amazing how easy it is to walk along the footpaths! |

I love Buenos Aires during January because everyone is on holiday. It may be hot, but there are hardly ever cues for the subte or colectivos and it is easy to get into restaurants if they are open. Enjoy..... |
