Hello all; Just wondering if anyone knows of a specialist shop in Capital federal that imports foodstuffs from europe and the states.I have found sections in supermarkets but no specialist shops.I have come across these in nearly every country I have been to but as yet have to find one here.If anyone has any information or knows of a contact to request special orders from supermarkets it would be great as it may stop some of my cravings... Have you tried Carrefour? They may have a section devoted to imported foods but will be best to talk to any of the assistant managers. They will know for sure and if there are any restrictions about importing. Remember, Argentina is part of mercosur and many of the treaties might impose regional restrictions to certain neighboring countries. Same with bi-lateral agreements. Argentina is NOT nearly as an open market as the US is. Talk to the guys (managers) in the 'gondolas' of large supermarkets. |
