SALTA. Is 1605 kms from Buenos Aires. Rich in adventure tourism, climbing, canoeing, windsurfing and trekking in the national parks. Salta is called "the beautiful" . The city´s most significant buildings are the Cathedral, the Cabildo, the Casa de Uriburu and the museum of Fine Arts. The church of San Francisco has one of the tallest church towers in America (53 m) The train to the clouds (Tren a las nubes) reaching 4.182 mt above sea level is one of Salta´s top excursions. National parks in Salta are Los Cardones, El Rey and Baritú. There are beautiful landscapes and colourful mountains with historical villages in Cafayate, San Carlos, Angastaco, Molinos and Cachi in the Valles Calchaquies.
