Rio Negro
Viedma, the capital of the province, (on the Atlantic coast) is 970 kms from Buenos Aires,
San
Carlos de Bariloche (on the Andes) 1719km. Other important places are Cipolletti, General Roca and Villa Regina in the Valley of Rio Negro,
San Antonio Oeste on the coast, and Sierra Grande.
San Carlos de Bariloche is the the gateway to the Nahuel Huapi National Park
and to adventure tourism, with fascinating excursions to surrounding hills
Otto, Lopez, Catedral, Tronador and Capilla, and multiple other outings, including
hunting in estancias and fishing in lakes, rivers and streams. There is an
internationally important golf course in Llao Llao and a Casino in town.
