Red Cross
Mission
Based on its statutes, the Argentine Red Cross (ARC) has clearly established
its mission and stated its objectives. In 1996, with the approval of the national
work plan (for a period of four years), these were reviewed according to a
global strategic planning criterion. A new national development plan will
be prepared in 2002. In 2002, the society began to redefine beneficiary groups
and priority lines of action, on the basis of the social, political and economic
crisis the country is undergoing.
The results focus on vulnerable groups the society needs to help, as well
as the project management model. The ARC is reviewing its position in relation
to its public image, while at the same time giving serious thought to the
need to give a clear and concrete image on the basis of increased activities
in various fields of work.
