I speak English and Spanish since I'm a US citizen, but my parents are both Mexican. I learned Spanish first and then English in school. This happens a lot, you are thinking in Spanish and trying to translate directly to English.
In the above it should say something like:
I am studyING English.
I am from Mendoza and I would like to talk to sombody that knows English. This way we would BOTH practice. I would like someone to help me with English and I could, in return, help you with Spanish.
Is someone up to it? (Una manera de decir, alguien se anima? )
