Hello Javier I am told that Coronel Suarez in the south of Buenos Aires province is the polo capital of the world. What is your claim of the no 1 polo city in the world based on. Since 1893 Coronel Suraz has won 25 of The Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo/Argentine Polo Open Championship, more than any other team. see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Campeonato_Argentino_ Abierto_de_Polo Argentinians have been the World Champions in Polo since 1949 till today.........The main teams are: Coronel Suarez, Indios Chapaleufu (ganador del ultimo Campeonato) Ellerstina El Paraiso La Caniada Hurlingham El Trebol La Espadania Venado Tuerto North Santa Fe. In Buenos Aires city, at the Campo Argentino de Polo, (Av. del Libertador y Dorrego), the world famous championship: Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo is played. see http://www.virtualtourist.com/travel/South_America /Argentina/Distrito_Federal/Buenos_Aires-1541981/S ports_Travel-Buenos_Aires-Watch_Polo-BR-1.html Just wondering |

Tom, I would think there is a higher concentration of polo Fields between Piler and open door than any where else in the world? |

I have no idea, Craig I was told by an Argentine friend, a polo player, that Coronel Suarez is the polo capital of the world. He was talking about winning championships. I was trying to learn from Javier a little bit more about the sport in Argentina. |
