i'm a belgian student who is travelling to Argentina in October this year. What am i going to do there? Well, i hope i can return to Belgium in june with some new language skills, so probably i will take some spanish lessons in Argentina en besides that i'm going to do some volunteerwork with an architect.
But my question is: is it possible to stay at a local family in Salta, or a place nearby that city? I prefer staying with a local family 'cause it will improve my learning process of the spanish language. And i just don't want to live between tourists during a whole year.
Does anybody know where i can find more information about this? Does anyone know such families?
I hope to find some answers here.
Thanx in advance!

Liesl, this one is tough... Why don't you try posting on this other forum http://www.forosdesalta.com.ar/?
Or classifieds: http://saltaaldia.com.ar/clasificados/?
Also, not sure if this is old but found a classified for a room rental at this email address firstname.lastname@example.org. The ad was something like: "ALQUILO HABITACION SENCILLA Y ECONOMICA UBICADA EN ZONA SUR , ESCUCHO OFERTAS SEGUN CANTIDAD DE DIAS O MESES" You can try emailing the guy...
