Can someone give me a recommendation for a bed and breakfast or hotel to stay in Buenos Aires. I am looking for a place that is friendly and will give personal service. Also, a place that speaks fluent English. I am looking to pay between $40.00 to $65.00 per night. I will be traveling alone and would like to hire someone to escort me to tango dancing, shopping, or taking a train ride. I am a bit nervous about traveling alone since I don't speak much Spanish. Can anybody help me out please? |

I always recommend a boutique hotel www.carlosvia.com which is in Abasto (a tango area of Buenos Aires full of shops, tango shows and classes). In fact I am staying there right now as I always do when I am in Buenos Aires. There are at least three members of staff including one of the owners who speak fluent English. It will probably cost a bit more than 65 USD per night. Just send them an e-mail in English. |

I also meant to say that the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. More like friends than staff. |

Hi Cheryl- I stayed at Solar Soler B&B in Palermo Hollywood, it was absolutely the perfect location, great staff (always professional, helpful, English speaking, very friendly, like most Argentines). Great little breakfast and coffee. Wonderful restaurants everywhere (Miranda was a favorite). All the bars and clubs are in walking distance. Check it out.... www.solarsoler.com.ar |
