I know that Argentines love their meat, but are there any Vegans in this forum and do you have any favorite places to try? |

We have a vegetarian restaurant in Esquel, called Mirasoles. There are a couple in Bariloche and probably El Bolson also. The Mexican restaurant in Bariloche has vegetarian dishes, but I can't remember the name of it right now. |

Hey, I found the name of the Mexican Restarant in Bariloche. It's called "Dias de Zapata" and is located at Morales 362. Their website is: www.diasdezapata.com.ar. They are open for supper. Also, in Esquel is Don Chiquino, located at Ameghino 1649. It's a wonderful Italian restaurant that served vegetarian pasta sauces also. They are open for lunch and supper. Beverly |

Some smaller shops that sell "comida macrobiotica/naturista" may have brown rice and general supermarkets will also sell breads made out of whole grains. There is a little shop at the corner of Santa Fe and 9 de Julio (off Santa Fe between Suipacha and 9 de Julio) that sells this type of food. And another one in Viamonte between Suipacha and Esmeralda (or close). This is in downtown. Just ask about the 'comida naturista' shop at any of the magazine kiosks and they will tell you exactly where they are. Also visit and contact esquina de las flores |

In Buenos Aires you should go La Catedral - it is a beautiful refurbished factory that has tango music/dance/classes that you can take part in or just watch and they serve AMAZING vegetarian food...even the porteņos love it! |
