Hi We are planning a grand trip to Buenos Aires! We would like to either rent an apartment or take rooms in a Tango Guest house, but essentially we would like to be altogether. We hope to spend just over a week in the city and then hopefully we would like to spend a week in an estancia, within a 4hr driving distance from the city. Does anyone have any suggestions for accomodations that would suit our needs in both the city and the country? Many thanks Claire |

Welcome Claire! For the most part, lodging suggestions are personal. I like estancia 'La Fe'. Others, may recommend something else. Within 2 hours drive there are numerous estancias. You won't luck choices. As for a Tango themed house somebody posted information on this on another thread. But personally I have no knowledge. Also, if you read through the threads you will notice many members run their own apartment rentals businesses in Buenos Aires. You can always pm them or check their profiles... |

If 5 kids fit in 2 rooms, you will need 5 bedrooms. I have a friend who owns a big house for vacation rental for US$6.400 per two weeks, but he has only 4 bedrooms. To analyze this and just as an example, I would reccomend you to save 50% of budget doing something similar to this: 1 styled two story apartment for couple #1 http://www.barts.com.ar/barts/lodgin/apartments_de t.php?recordID=20 569 1 two story apartment for couple #2 http://www.barts.com.ar/barts/lodgin/apartments_de t_budget.php?recordID=18 200 1 bigger apartment for couple #3 + kids http://www.barts.com.ar/barts/lodgin/apartments_de t.php?recordID=44 650 Total cost 1.419 since renting per room on an hotel may cost 5*100=500 x 7 = 3.500 you'll be able to save more than 50% of your budget, stay all together anyway, since apartment #1 and #2 are just one block away and apartment #3 it's 4 blocks away. You'll be provided with 4 cellphones and every apartment also has land line phone, and 1 of them high speed internet with wireless access. |
