Expat services in Bariloche. Hello all, I understand that since March 2009 foreigners are now again allowed to get Title to urban real estate in the Bariloche area. (That is, lots, homes, apartments within the urban boundary.) I live in Villa la Angostura and can recommend an excellent English speaking escribana in Bariloche, Sylvia Astuena. She is able to give you legal advice, prepare legal documents, advise you on the local real estate markets (do NOT trust realtors for this…), connect you with registered translators, help you with local regulations and federal, provincial, or local bureaucracies, or connect you with other local services you may need. In addition, her sister is an escribana in Buenos Aires, also speaks English, and can help you there if you need it. Sylvia can be reached 9-4pm Monday through Friday, at 2944 524001. Her email address is astuena@speedy.com.ar At this time the secretary does not speak English, but just ask for Sylvia, or better yet...email her. Suerte! |

Thanks for the update. I live full time in Bariloche and we haven't found a good English speaking escribania, so this is great news. And yes, we (extranjeros) signed our escritura last month. The new resolution is for the whole zona de seguridad area. |
