1.181 kms form Buenos Aires. Excellent fishing for dorado, pacú and surubi. A land for true adventurers. The National Park of Rio Pilcomayo with its 47.000 ha includes marshes and swampland, savannahs and flooded areas with large varieties of birds, two species of yacarés, the swamp deer and the carpincho or capibara, the largest rodent. Other nature reserve places are the Reserva Natural Formosa, a typical semi deserted area of western Chaco eco system, and Bañado La Estrella, with hundreds of thousands of hectares of nature reserve, which can only be explored on board of canoes.
