The "chasque" or "chasqui"-a quichua word that means messenger- it was the name given to the horse riders in the pampas. They delivered messages or mails to other regions. With their admirable speed they traveled over wide forests and hot sands,delivering the urgent communications descretly. This man was the precursor of the modern post in the Argentinian countryside.
